Now it is again especially worthwhile to open your eyes when you pass by in the Amalienpassage - the Japanese fan maples unfold their wonderful play of colors!

"MOMIJI-ZEIT" NOW ALSO IN MUNICH 😉

A wonderful summer is behind us and the terrace of the Japanese restaurant sansaro in the middle of the Amalienpassage was more beautiful this year than ever before.

The terrace is now dismantled until next spring - but our Japanese fan maples are still there, of course. And now is the time when it's worth coming to the arcade again to look at the wonderful play of colors of the Japanese maples. In Japan, the time of Momijigari begins - a wonderful, slightly melancholic time, when nature sweetens the farewell of summer.

It's still not as impressive here at Adalberthof as it is in Kyōtō, but with a few small lamps the beautiful maples are also illuminated in the evening. And of course, the best thing is to sit on the Japanese tatami and then look outside from the cozy restaurant and admire the passing summer once again...

We are looking forward to your visit!

Momijigari - the Japanese autumn

Now it's here again, the time of momijigari - when the Japanese chase the truly incomparably beautiful autumn color of the Japanese maple (紅葉 momiji = red autumn leaves, 狩り kari = chase).
Since we now also have a beautiful collection of special Japanese maple trees on our sansaro summer terrace here's a little look across the pond to Japan.
