Japanese whisky is an exciting topic that is very close to our hearts! The coveted collector's items, especially from Nikka, Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chichibu, are not easy to come by. And so we know a story to tell about actually every bottle of the rare distillates from Japan.

Professionally packaged and summarized the interesting history of Japanese whiskey by Jürgen Liebenau, his sign specialist for rare Japanese whiskey from jwhisky.com.

About the beginnings of Japanese whisky from the departure of food chemist Masataka Taketsuru, his partnership with Shinjiro Torii to today's largest beverage companies in the world dominating the top of the world class whisky, he knew all that was possible in the short time.

The tasting of the whisky then became very exciting due to our diverse tasting flight: from Nikka Yoichi to Hakushu 12 to the rare Chichibu Chibidaru to an exciting journey through the world of Japanese whisky. Especially interesting: a rare, old Nikka Grand Age which our speaker Jürgen Liebenau had brought from his treasure chest. Followed immediately: new whisky tasting in spring 2019

The great feedback of the guests on site motivates us to immediately announce another whisky tasting: on February 24 or March 10, 2019 it will be again!

The exact date will be published as soon as possible in our newsletter and of course on www.sushiya.de/whisky-tasting. It is certain that we will again put together a flight of various interesting Japanese whiskies and taste them together with special food pairings from our kitchen team.
